Are you ready to serve where help is needed most? Join CERT International on a medical and dental mission to Cuba, where we will provide essential aid, medical and dental care, and fellowship to those in need.

Trip Dates could change depending on the circumstances in Cuba.

Open to adult volunteers (18+). No medical experience is required, but preference is given to medically trained individuals! This is a unique opportunity to serve, connect, and experience Cuban culture firsthand while bringing hope to local communities.
Spots are limited.

Important Details:

• Visa Fee: $140 (non-refundable, included in the total team fee of $1,950).
• Visa Enrollment Deadline: December 1, 2025 (approval takes 90-100 days).
• Increased Caution Advised: Due to evolving U.S.-Cuba immigration laws, travelers should be aware of any updates before departure.

What You’ll Experience:

• Partner with local Churches to bring aid to the Cuban people.
• Provide free medical and dental care to underserved communities.
• Stay in a dorm setting at the church, sharing meals and fellowship with the community.
• Spend evenings exploring historic Old Havana.
• Experience the power of faith, service, and cultural connection.

Team members will fly into Havana before traveling to the church located just outside Old Town Havana. Each day, we’ll host free medical and dental clinics, providing care and encouragement to those in need. This mission is about more than aid—it’s about building relationships and showing the love of Jesus.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ONCE YOU ARE APPROVED

• VACCINES REQUIRED - NONE. Suggest having a current Tetanus, Hep. A and Hep B.
• MEDICATIONS REQUIRED - NONE. Suggest Malaria medication. Contact CERT for details.
• CUBAN VISA REQUIRED - YES. Complete and return the VISA application to CERT. The Cuban government requires the application from CERT, 90 days before departure.
• LIABILITY RELEASE - YES. Sign and returned to CERT. The "Form" is included with your information pack after.
• BACKGROUND CHECK - YES. All applications received on or after January 1, 2026 must submit a "Background Check". CERT will send you a LINK to follow. $0.00 US Citizens, There is a fee for Canadian or other countries.

How to join the Team

The first time you apply with CERT, you will be asked to "Create an Account". This is your access to all of our Opportunities, Fundraising, payments, and instructions. If you are fundraising, we provide a webpage and a place for donors to give towards your goal.

APPLY
This is the first step. After you press APPLY, you need to answer a few questions about yourself. You must fill out the Registration Application questions for Approval. Once completed, select APPLY at the bottom of the page. Your status is now PENDING.

PENDING
Great, the first step is done. One of our leaders will look at your Registration Application and contact you within a couple of work days on how to proceed.
You may be asked for more details. You will receive an email with additional instructions. If the Team has openings, you will be APPROVED.
If the Team is full, you may remain PENDING and be put on a waiting list for a possible opening. Or, you can withdraw and select another opportunity.

  You will need your Passport for some of the entries.
• Status of APPROVED means you have been placed on the Team. See APPROVED below.

APPROVED
You are almost there. Approval is the next step in the application process. We have a place for you on the Team. To secure your spot, you must submit a completed application (if you haven't already) and a $250 deposit. Team sizes may be limited. We suggest you do this as soon as possible. You can lose your spot if you wait. After we receive the deposit, a Team Package will be mailed containing a Trip Manual, a T-shirt, and a devotional journal.

• If you have not completed the Online Team Application, locate it in RESOURCES at the bottom of the page.
  One Application is good for all your trips. It's kept on file for any future opportunities you sign up for.
• Pay your $250 deposit (non-refundable) through the Make a Payment link. Coupons or discounts can not be used for deposits.

* Please note that due to US restrictions on travel to Cuba, there are additional procedures that will need to be adhered to. *
 
Trip Cost: $2000 + Airfare
Included:

• In-country accommodations, transportation, and meals
• Traveler’s medical insurance
• Cost-share of medical supplies and clinic expenses

Not Included:

• Personal shopping and sightseeing
• Airfare (varies by departure location and booking date)

No prior training is required for this trip. A team manual will be provided before departure. Training includes:

• Pre-field preparation through the CERT Team Manual, a mission-specific guide, a pre-trip devotional, and ongoing communication with our office and team leader.
• On-field orientation and training at the ministry site.
