Clean Water Climb - September, 2020
This is a three part trip: Prairie, Peak, Purpose.
Part 1 (The Prairie) is the Acclimatization Safari in Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. We fly to Kilimanjaro Airport and immediately began a 3 day/2 night Acclimatization Safari to get over jet lag and get acclimated for the upcoming hike.
Part 2 (The Peak) is the hike. We go on a 7-day fundraising hike of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We will stay in Crater Camp for the 2020 trips.
Part 3 (The Purpose) is the mission. We fly to Malawi and stay at Child Legacy's Project site and go out during the day to repair broken water wells and share Christ through 5 New Testament stories.
We ask each participant to raise a minimum of $5000 for 4 water well repairs in Malawi, Africa.
We have a series of team meetings before the trip to create a well bonded team and go over everything from preparing for Africa to preparing for Kilimanjaro to fundraising to sharing Jesus in the villages and schools.
The first team meeting will be December 1, 2019. A $1000 deposit is preferred at that time, though people can join the team as late as March 1, 2020.
