NOTE: GHO has a COVID plan to do our best to keep trip participants and our patients safe and healthy. We are watching country requirements closely. It is possible this mission will cancel in which case your application and funds will be moved to a future mission of your choice.

*Currently CDC has lifted guidelines and no longer recommend a quarantine upon return to the U.S. if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We do however recommend you check with your employer or hospital for their requirements before committing to the mission.

All team members must be Covid-19 vaccinated to attend this mission trip. This includes ages 12 and up for this trip.  All Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted as soon as safely possible.

*Special Travel Note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, no deviations from the trip dates will be allowed unless arranged by the individual in communication with the team leader and the GHO Travel Coordinator.

If you are ready to step way outside of your comfort zone for God's Kingdom work, then this mission is for you! It is located in N Africa/Middle East in the Sahara Desert and is a nearly all Muslim country. This team will be bare bones with only 10 people, primarily providers (including dentists and a pharmacist), though there is a need for up to two non-medical members (called Servants). The team will work in a new government-sponsored health post in this nation. After arriving in the international airport and purchasing visas, the team will stay in a guesthouse and travel a short distance to the clinic site each day. The residents of the area where the clinic is located are often recent immigrants and are very poor. The government is seeking to provide healthcare for them and has invited our team in to help. This will be the fourth year sending a team and supporting the local government, especially the mayor who is wonderful.

Our national partners know the language and culture and have excellent working relationships with the government authorities. They are a joy with whom to work. The hospitality shown to the team by the local authorities, especially the mayor, has been amazing and humbling. There is a great need in this country, where most of the people we will see have little or no access to medical care. Malnutrition is a significant problem among children as well. Would you prayerfully consider joining me on this "extraordinary adventure" God has provided?
