We welcome physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical/occupational therapists, students, and servants (non-medical helpers) on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips. We will be working in an established medical-dental clinic in St. Mary’s Parish in the Northeast section of Jamaica, one of the poorest areas in the country. The Jamaican people often have great medical and dental needs, so whatever your area of expertise might be, your skills will be greatly appreciated.  As we provide care for physical disease, we seek to point to the Great Physician as the ultimate healer for our spiritual needs.

A major focus of this trip will be dental students, who will work in pairs to meet the needs of the friendly Jamaican people, under the tutelage of experienced dentists.  Treatment will consist of extractions, restorative treatment, hygiene services, and possibly endodontics. Only 24 spots are being reserved for dental students, so register NOW!

One of the great attractions of the country of Jamaica is the food – team members will enjoy a delicious selection of pineapple, mango, papaya, jerk chicken and pork, fish, rice and peas, and lots of fresh vegetables.  Their national language is English, and after a few days in Jamaica you will realize that communicating with them is “no problem!”

For more information about the trip, feel free to email the Team Leader, Lloyd DeFoor, at [email protected] and/or Assistant Team Leader/Dental Director Bill Griffin, at [email protected]
