This will be GHO's first trip to the unreached people of Northern Thailand. We will partner with Community of Blessing (COB) which serves the poor and marginalized peoples of Thailand with Dental, Medical and Eyeglass care. COB teams partner with staff and students at Lanna Theological Center, a Bible College in Chiang Mai, Thailand. COB clinics offer medical (health) exams with a pharmacy, eyeglasses and dental exam stations. This June, COB is invited to minister among the unreached Lua people group located along the border between Thailand and Laos. We will travel 6 hours over a good road in a bus to the North East Province of Nan to the town of Pua. We will base out of Pua and travel to 4 villages in the mountains. The Lua are a poor people who do not venture far from their villages deep in the jungles. COB’s Director and Founder are children of the very first missionary to the Lua people. However, the Lua are slow to accept to change and trust new ideas. The Gospel has moved slowly among them and they are  still considered unreached. We will stay in a local homestay motel which will provide bedding and towels. During the day we will travel to the village for the clinic. Each evening we will come down to Pua for dinner and a good night’s rest on some Hard Thai beds.

We invite medical providers, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, physical therapists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, and servants to serve in various capacities in eyeglasses, dental, public health education, and evangelism.
