NW Africa, Feb 4 - 16, 2022, w/David Molind, PA-C, SR1557
Urgent Needs: All healthcare professionals and servants (non-medical)
NOTE: GHO has a COVID plan to do our best to keep trip participants and our patients safe and healthy. We are watching country requirements closely. It is possible this mission will cancel in which case your application and funds will be moved to a future mission of your choice.
*Currently CDC has lifted guidelines and no longer recommend a quarantine upon return to the U.S. if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We do however recommend you check with your employer or hospital for their requirements before committing to the mission.
All team members must be Covid-19 vaccinated to attend this mission trip. This includes ages 16 and up, with younger team members not allowed to attend at this time. All Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted as soon as safely possible.
*Special Travel Note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, no deviations from the trip dates will be allowed.
We welcome those who are called to use their giftings as physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, physician assistants, physical therapists, nurses, pharmacists, and logistical servants to serve those in need in NW Africa. We will be ministering in a hard-to-reach region where many have not had the opportunity for medical care or health education. The region is composed of nominal Christians with various faith practices scattered throughout. Our in-country host has labored hard in this region and has established a Christian-based, nurse-staffed health clinic. This lone health outpost in the area provides as it can.
We will come alongside them to bring your giftings and compassion to those who will benefit greatly from them. vThe clinic staff work hard, have little, and are patiently grateful to see how God moves. As you serve shoulder to shoulder with them you will experience the same. The need is great for primary care, obstetrical and gynecologic, emergency medicine, and physical therapy specialties. The greatest need is for a soft heart, strong back, and loving conviction to share the grace of Jesus Christ. Join us if you are called to be stretched beyond your comfort zone for Christ.
