Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America bordered by Honduras and Costa Rica, as well as the Caribbean.  It is a beautiful country with extraordinarily loving people.  Nicaragua is a wonderful steadfast mission partner for many years under the direction of Rolando Castillo. GHO is thankful to be serving in Nicaragua once again after a brief hiatus secondary to some political turmoil and unrest.  Rolando is the GHO Central America Director; he and his staff care for our teams with tender loving care attending to all logistical details.

The people of Nicaragua are destitute; they are in desperate need physically, emotionally and spiritually. Their plight is our mandate to “go” and to serve in the Name of Jesus. We are anticipating a large team to serve with love and compassion for God’s glory.

The team is open to families and students. It is a wonderful opportunity for people who have never served on the mission field. We welcome pastors for teaching and training. We look forward to serving the teens and the children along with our basic free medical, dental and eyeglass care. Our broad range of services includes a widening scope of Public Health education and teaching.

We welcome physicians, dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical/occupation therapists, and students. Servant helpers (non-medical helpers) usually comprise a large percentage of our teams, so no medical or dental experience is needed.

If you are newly considering a mission trip, then God has opened this door for you to walk through and we welcome you. If you are a seasoned servant, welcome back and thank you for your servant’s heart.

These trips are life-changing; by God’s grace, you will return with everlasting joy and thanksgiving in your heart having honored Him in your service!
