We welcome primary care physicians, pediatricians, internists, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, EMTs, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical/occupational therapists, students, and servants (non-medical helpers) on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips.
On this trip, we will be serving both children and adults in the city of Ndola and in a rural village near Ndola. In these areas, most exist on less than one dollar per day.  We will be working with a small local church and school and serving in this area the first week, and then transition to the rural village of Chiwala for the second week. This small village has no access to medical care and no access to safe drinking water. We will be providing general medical and dental care as well as a VBS, water filtration, and feminine hygiene ministry, and ministering to the local pastors and their families. Discipleship is a cornerstone of our team as we serve together.
We are looking for primary care and pediatric providers to deliver care to this extremely impoverished area of Zambia. The stark reality of Zambia is the overabundance of children who have been left, forgotten, or ignored. Zambia has the highest per capita orphan rate in the world, with approximately 1.4 million orphans in a country roughly the size of Texas.  This country has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS. When a child is orphane,d they usually become the responsibility of a distant family member or neighbor but because they are another mouth to feed, these children are usually not welcomed and considered a burden. Many are forced to find their own food and sleep outside. One in every four households is a child-headed home with a child acting as the primary caregiver.

Matthew 9:36-38 "When He saw the crowds, He had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'"
