Dominican Republic Medical Mission Trip - October 2020

A 7 day, 6 night medical short term mission trip to Dominican Republic!  This specific mission is open to Physicians, Nurses, PT's, patient care, and others interested in working alongside hospital operations serving the poorest of the poor.  Additionally, the team will advance efforts in multiple "Bateys", poor, Haitian worker communities.   Emphasis will be hands on opportunities and professional interchange with Dominican medical professionals.  Lodging is Hotel Stay, or if you prefer, dorms with A/C are typically available, and at lower cost.

Our work focuses primarily on the Haitian "Bateys", extremely poor communities located in various marginalized communities in the countryside.  Haitians suffer here from very poor healthcare.  One of our key partners run a hospital and also clinics to the Bateys.  As such, general practictioners and various specialists and nurses are welcome and needed.

An experienced Wayfinder Medical Specialist Guide will work with you to prepare for this mission trip.  At Wayfinder, we work hard to listen to both you and our partners needs, identifying the unique traits that insure you are a perfect match for the communities.  End of week explore the nature of this beautiful country via a trip on the coast with an opportunity to tourist areas.
