Are you ready to make a real impact? Travel with CERT International to the breathtaking Andes Mountains, where rural farming communities have little to no access to healthcare—and where hope is needed most.
You don’t have to be a medical or dental professional to make a difference! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and ages (children 10+ included). Whether you’re assisting in clinics, offering compassion, or sharing the love of Christ, your presence matters.
**Please Note** High Elevations varying from 11,000 - 14,000ft (Team members are responsible for taking whatever precautions they deem necessary).
What You’ll Experience:

APPLY
This is the first step. After you press APPLY, you need to answer a few questions about yourself. You must fill out the Registration Application questions for Approval. Once completed, select APPLY at the bottom of the page. Your status is now PENDING.

Great, the first step is done. One of our leaders will look at your Registration Application and contact you within a couple of work days on how to proceed.
You may be asked for more details. You will receive an email with additional instructions. If the Team has openings, you will be APPROVED.
If the Team is full, you may remain PENDING and be put on a waiting list for a possible opening. Or, you can withdraw and select another opportunity.
You are almost there. Approval is the next step in the application process. We have a place for you on the Team. To secure your spot, you must submit a completed application (if you haven't already) and a $250 deposit. Team sizes may be limited. We suggest you do this as soon as possible. You can lose your spot if you wait. After we receive the deposit, a Team Package will be mailed containing a Trip Manual, a T-shirt, and a devotional journal.
Trip Cost: $1,950 + Airfare // *This trip can be combined with the previous week's trip to Puerto Maldonado for the reduced price of $3,400*
{An optional Machu Picchu trip is available on the second Saturday for an additional cost (not facilitated by CERT).}

- Provide essential medical and dental care to underserved communities.
- Partner with local Cusco churches and missionaries to bring healing and hope.
- (Subject to Schedule) Serve at a local orphanage, making a difference in children's lives.
- Immerse yourself in a culture rich in history and hospitality.
- Stay comfortably in a local Cusco hotel (double occupancy).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ONCE YOU ARE APPROVED
- VACCINES REQUIRED - NONE. The CDC has recommended a Yellow Fever vaccination. (check your CDC link often). Suggest having a current tetanus, Hep. A and Hep B.
- MEDICATIONS REQUIRED - NONE. Suggest Altitude Sickness medication.
- VISA REQUIRED - NONE.
- LIABILITY RELEASE - YES. Sign and returned to CERT. The "Form" is included with your information pack after.
- BACKGROUND CHECK - YES. All applications received on or after January 1, 2026 must submit a "Background Check". CERT will send you a LINK to follow. $0.00 US Citizens, There is a fee for Canadian or other countries.
How to join the Team

One Application is good for all your trips. It's kept on file for any future opportunities you sign up for. - Pay your $250 deposit through the Make a Payment link. Coupons or discounts can not be used for deposits.
- $150 is refundable up to 30 days before the trip start date.
- If you cancel with less than 30 days to the start date, the deposit is non-refundable. The Payment Policy can be found under the FORMS tab.

Prerequisites
- PASSPORTS: Be aware that many countries will not allow you to cross their borders or board your airplane to fly there unless your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your initial date of entry. Still more, including the 26 European nations that participate in the Schengen accord, require your passport to be valid for at least three months past your date of entry, which means that you must add that three-month requirement to the time you plan to travel abroad.
Restrictions
- MEDICATIONS: Altitude medication is strongly suggested.
- CAUTION: May not be a good location if you have breathing issues.
