Nigeria, Nov 6 - 15, 2026, w/Huck Whitener, DDS, & Tim Afon, PharmD, SR1745
We welcome physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dermatologists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, first responders, dental hygienists, dental assistants, physical/occupational therapists, students, servants (non-medical helpers), and a trip photographer/videographer on all of our general medicine and dentistry trips.
Our team will embark on a medical mission to Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.
The clinic will be set up in the Masifa campus of New Covenant Church - offering essential medical care to individuals and families with limited access to health services. Each encounter will reflect our desire to address physical needs while honoring the dignity, worth, and spiritual value of every person we meet.
Before dawn, we expect lines to begin forming: mothers carrying infants wrapped in colorful fabric, elders seeking relief from long-standing ailments, young adults hoping for answers to persistent symptoms. We anticipate the hum of conversation, the mix of Yoruba and English flowing through the crowd, and the hopeful energy that always comes with access to care. We further anticipate the warm hospitality for which Ogbomoso is known—welcoming smiles, a spirit of cooperation, and a shared desire to bring healing and encouragement to those in need.
As we prepare, we pray for wisdom, unity, and open hearts. We trust that God will work through our hands to bring healing, hope, and encouragement—and that this mission will strengthen both the local community and our own calling as Christ-following healthcare professionals.
Our team looks forward to partnering with local leaders and community members who have graciously opened their doors and hearts to this mission.”
