WHEN
Oct 10 2026 - Oct 18 2026
WHERE
Cubulco, GT
COST
$2140 + Airfare
Application Fee: $150.00

We will be serving the people of Cubulco, located in the Guatemalan department of Baja Verapaz. It is a small, remote mountain town 6-8 hours, by bus, north of Guatemala City. At an elevation of 3200 feet, the weather is mild & pleasant. The people are warm, friendly & welcoming. Most people speak Spanish, although some use the native dialect of Achi.

GHO has partnered with AMG (Advancing the Ministry of the Gospel) https://www.amginternational.org/about-us for many years who will provide security, transportation, interpreters, and generally see to our needs as a team.

We will provide general surgical services at Señorita Elena Medical Center where “We treat but God heals”. Surgical cases will include hernias, open gallbladders, lipomas, etc. The hospital provides ongoing medical support but only offers surgery 1-2 times a year with visiting surgical teams. Over 15,000 patients each year are given the gospel message as they receive medical and dental treatment.

We will be staying on the hospital grounds which allows for team bonding and fellowship. Morning prayer will serve to daily prepare our team for God’s work and help to encourage each other in our faith. We end the day with worship and evening devotion time. The evening devotion time is set up for testimonies and “God sightings” that help us all understand how God is working. These are always especially meaningful times in which we can rejoice together. We hope you will pray about joining the work God has planned for this team!

The team needs 3 General Surgeons, 3 Anesthesia Providers, 2 Surgical Techs, 2 OR Nurses / Circulators and 2 PACU Nurses who wish to use their skills in the O.R. to serve the less fortunate of Guatemala.

Come and serve with us as we join with the Lord in the work He is doing in Guatemala!
