Honduras Medical Team

Project: We will provide outpatient medical and dental care to needy people who have little access to care.  We will be working in a clinic with no x-ray and little lab capability.  We will provide basic medical evaluation, limited outpatient surgical procedures, dental care, and medicines.   We will also focus on community health education and evangelism for those attending the clinic. The setting is a poor area outside of Trujillo in the community of Puerto Castillo among the Garifino people, an under-evangelized ethnic minority in Honduras.
Partner:  Our partner is Ivan Galindo Paz.  GO InterNational has partnered with Ivan in his outreach to the Garifino people around Trujillo for several years. 
Personnel Needs:  Primary care physicians, PAs, NPs, dentists, nurses, dental assistants, pharmacists and health profession students. Spanish speakers to help with translation are needed as well.  Non-medical people are also welcome and will be able to help professionals in the clinic, help with logistics, patient flow, evangelism and ministry to children.
