Mongolia Team #53 - Multispecialty Team

MEI Mongolia teams have been continuously serving our Mongolian friends twice a year since September 1998. Since its founding, MEI Mongolia has partnered with the Mongolia National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) in sharing education with physicians, dentists, nurses, and students. Teaching strategies include formal lectures, informal teaching sessions, shared patient care, and one-on-one conversations. MEI Mongolia team members share the love of Jesus wherever they are called to serve – whether at the medical school, the hospitals, the clinics or community locations.

Because of the longstanding relationship with MNUMS, the full range of medical and dental specialties are welcome to join an MEI Mongolia team. Teammates from neonatology to pathology to hepatobiliary surgery to general pediatrics to oncology to periodontology have all participated in recent trips. The educational mission of MEI Mongolia is expanding to satellite medical school campuses outside of the capital.  Prospective teammates should not let misperceptions about the need for their specialty dissuade them from considering MEI Mongolia.  The love of Jesus should be the primary factor in joining a team.

If you participate on a team, your total trip costs will vary based upon your personal travel expenses.  In order to participate, you will need to complete an application. You will need to pay the MEI Registration Fee and daily Emergency Evacuation Insurance, and background check regardless of your age or position on the team.  You will be invoiced for your specific costs.  Payment is due 30 days prior to trip departure.
