Dentists needed in Madang, Papua New Guinea!
Ywam Ships Kona exists to reach the Pacific People for Jesus!
The goal is to bring the gospel to the islands of the Pacific. Madang is an important Port in Papua New Guinea and will be our base point as we go out to reach out the islands. Ywam Madang will also support and carry out the Oral Bible Translation Project in partnership with other mission organizations. Many dialects don't have the printed bible yet and many don't know how to read. Our hearts is to bring God's word in a language they understand, so that they can know God and love Him!
Mercy Ministries is part of the heart of our mission. We want to bring healing and hope.
Madang has only 1 dentist for about 30 000 people.
The local hospital has 1 nurse for every 50 patients.
Many nearby islands don't have a health care center at all.
The local health care authorities have invited us to partner with them to bring health care to their people in Madang, nearby islands and villages.
Jesus said to go to the ends of the earth to let them know of Him. Is not easy, but Jesus said he would go with us. If you went into the medical field to serve and to reach others with God's love, this is your opportunity.
No matter how far, each person must know there is a God who sees them, who hears them, who answers their prayers, who loves them and came to give them life!

Dates - 2022 (Dates might slightly change)
Primary Health Care Clinics (PHC) - Depending on the location the clinics may be running medical, optical, dental, community health education (CHE) and antenatal clinics.
Dental - Dental Services are a great need among the isolated populations. The most common procedure is pulling teeth relieving people of pain and infection. Depending on the available location there are opportunities for restorative procedures. Our team also does oral health education and preventive care.
Ophthalmology Services - Cataract surgeries and distribution of glasses.

Food and accommodation - Being a non profit missions organization all volunteers pay room and board fees of $35 USD per person per day. These costs do not include your airfare, insurances, visa or $95 USD registration fee.
